TelemeterWidget v1.0.16 released

A new version just got published to the Market. Find it here.

Changes are to make it compatible again (for those with FUP products) with the T4T API changes of last weekend.

For FUP products, it will now show you your current total used volume, together with your min/max remaining volume, somewhat like this:

17GB (152/605)

Where 17GB is your used volume & the numbers in brackets are the min/max remaining volume respectively.

For more info on how to interpret the min/max remaining volume, I gladly refer to Telenet. :)

That's it!

TelemeterWidget v1.0.14

Version 1.0.14 is now on the Android Market. It now no longer displays ??? / ??? when there was an error contacting the Telemeter4Tools service. Instead, it will display the last known Telemeter value, but coloured red, indicating it might be slightly out of date...

Of course, if there is no previously known Telemeter value, ??? / ??? will still be shown on error.

That's it!

TelemeterWidget v1.0.12

The Android TelemeterWidget has been updated to support the new Telemeter API. It now also supports visualisation of your FUP stage (if you have a FUP-based internet product), by showing you textually which stage you're at. This will improve in a later version. Stay tuned...

Tweetatorium Goes TwitGoo!

Tweetatorium v1.0.5 was just released to the Android Market. It has one major new feature: the ability to upload your pics to TwitGoo as well as TwitPic. A new preference setting allows you to choose between TwitPic and TwitGoo (the former is still the default).

I have also added a 'How to use' screen because it seems a lot of people are still not aware how the generic Android sharing feature works.

More info on Tweetatorium on its homepage.

TelemeterWidget v1.0.11

There was some slight fuss today over Telenet having an iPhone 'Telenet Meter' app pulled from the App Store because it wasn't an official Telenet-supported application. And very probably because it was doing things with people's usernames & passwords that shouldn't be done. :)

This updated version v1.0.11 is just to make it clear to everyone that the Android TelemeterWidget is also NOT an official Telenet-supported application. I've added a disclaimer saying so on the About screen.

Also, contrary to the pulled iPhone app, the Android TelemeterWidget sends your username/password credentials directly to the Telemeter4Tools service at Telenet, over an encrypted https connection. It has always done so.

Japanese Tweetatorium howto

Somebody in Japan called 'nakano' wrote up a rather nice mini-howto on Tweetatorium (link goes through Google Translate), including step-by-step screenshots. For those able to read Japanese, original article is here.

Tweetatorium 1.0.4

Apparently something got screwed at TwitVid.com so that they no longer accept uploads using a certain HTTP protocol feature. Version 1.0.4 no longer uses this feature & makes everything work again. Grmbl.

Try getting such a quick fix out & available on the iPhone App Store... :)

Tweetatorium 1.0.3

Just updated Tweetatorium to v1.0.3. It has a bit more polish and now shows a short 'toast' notification after pressing the Upload or Cancel buttons, telling the user what's going on.

Without the notification and the upload starting quietly in the background, it probably wasn't very clear that something was still going on after pressing the button... :)

Tweetatorium 1.0.0 released!

Just released my 2nd Android app to the Market: Tweetatorium. Yes, the silly name is intentional. :)

It's a small & simple application that allows you to share your videos on twitvid.com. The video links are tweeted on your Twitter page.

Videos are uploaded in the background & a notification will appear when the upload has finished.

I know there are other apps that do something similar (and probably even better) but this one was mainly for me to get acquainted with some more Android API's.

Voila!
